Hindrance on the A1 Motorway

Starting from March 25th we change traffic organization on km 74 of the Motorway.  Difficulties, which are anticipated to last 5 months total, are connected with the commencement of the construction of the flyover of the new motorway junction near Warlubie.

On a distance of about 2 km within the work area alternately and successively closed will be both traffic lanes.  At the first stage of work disabled will be the eastern lane (towards Gdańsk), therefore the traffic will be pursued bidirectional on the western lane. Changes to traffic organization will be carried out both on the existing passage between the motorway lanes (in km 74+930 ÷ 75+030) and on the passage executed strictly for the purpose of the detour (from km 73+220 ÷  73+320). Around that time executed will be the support of the flyover within median strip as well as a part of the bridge structure over the lane excluded from the traffic.

The second stage of traffic organization, planned on the beginning of May, will consist in closure of the western lane (Łódź direction) and directing the traffic onto the opposite motorway lane. For detour purposes used will be the same traffic clasps as on the first stage. Works performed on that stage will include the construction of the second half of the motorway bridge.

Speed limit within the area of the new traffic organization will be 80 km/h. In addition, near the planned traffic clasps installed will be masts with photo-radars.

During the remaining three months of works carried out within the motorway Right of Way expected should be local and transient lane narrows.

The Concessionaire of the A1 Motorway ensures that the introduced traffic organization is an optimal solution and was planned to ensure safety of the motorway users, construction teams as well as to facilitate smooth travel during increased summer traffic season.
