Some earth works were resumed after the winter break.

The cuts are being prepared on Section I kilometers 90+900 to 91+300. Eight 4-axle trucks are in use. All of them will be replaced with dumpers, as soon as ground becomes softened and muddy. Similar works are conducted on Section II, kilometers 101 and 113. Last soil exchanges in the main line are coming to an end.

Quite a lot is ongoing at Section III. Cuts are prepared in kilometers 118+000 – 119+000 and 126+830 – 126+980. Following machines are in use: 18 dumpers, 4 excavators, 4 bulldozers and 1 roller. Whereas in Dźwierzno, in place of the deepest soil exchange on February 19th the last sand and gravel columns were drilled in.

– Now it is necessary to wait for the water conditions to stabilize. Then load capacity of ground between columns will be tested – says Dorota Dudziak, Site Engineer. After test results, a fill with an overload embankment will be build.
