Culture in Driving with the A1

The first edition of the ‘Culture in Driving’ campaign is being launched today.  The idea behind the action is to popularise cultural behaviour among the road traffic participants.  The formula adopted for the campaign combines culture in driving with stimulation of cultural life among the drivers and promotion of the cultural tourist trails in the region.  The social campaign will be framed in interesting competitions, surveys, debates, automobile outings, preventive and educational actions addressed at drivers and the young.

The ‘Culture in Driving’ campaign will continue over the whole year 2010.  The first stage will last until the end of March.  The subsequent stages are planned to follow. 

We will begin with inviting the road users to start a community of people cultural behind the steering wheel.  They will be encouraged to share their comments and observations on the customs prevailing on the Polish roads.  In effect, we will all put together the Constitution of the Cultural Driver, or the code of rules prompting kindness and mutual respect on the road. The Internet page we have prepared for the action, www.kulturalnajazda.pl, will form the dedicated forum available to exchange information.

The organisers further intend to popularise the right ways of thinking and correct behaviour models in road traffic, all formulated in consultation with the drivers.  Regular radio spots hosting the visited guests and listeners will form the backbone of the educational programme.

Over the initial months of the campaign, the message-oriented actions will be supported with promotion (e.g. billboards at selected locations, radio advertisements, a labelling action).
