Service Areas

Three sets of two Services Areas (MOPs), one for each road, are located along the A-1 section from Gdańsk to Nowe Marzy. These are: Kleszczewko, Olsze, and Gajewo.

The purpose of the MOPs is to provide an opportunity to rest. Parking areas for trucks and passenger cars, accompanied with manoeuvering lanes, are appended with leisure and sanitary facilities, lighting, and fixtures for the disabled (parking, ramps, special toilets, etc.). The MOP Olsze is planned to be combined with petrol stations and catering outlets

Maintenance Areas

There are two maintenance areas (OUAs) arranged along the Gdańsk – Nowe Marzy section of the Motorway: in Pelplin and Nowe Marzy. OUAs are reserved solely for the road maintenance services whose tasks comprise keeping the road and its auxiliary facilities operational in the summer and winter, providing technical supervision of the repair works, organising and controlling the traffic, and clearing up incident sites.

The OUA Pelplin includes the Motorway Management Centre working 24 hours a day, and the Driver Service Station.
